Python Job: Senior Python Developer

We are looking for Python Software Engineers for our Templates team, a multidisciplinary group that will develop the framework that will be used across the company to create automations for custom implementations. They will be responsible for building the tools needed to set up the environments, develop the automation framework, and other automation tools.

• Achieve a well-rounded knowledge of our platform by understanding the complex interaction of a wide range of areas and services, from network layer to final user.
• Develop sophisticated products with high-availability, performance, and concurrency in mind.
• Keep a global view of our models and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and anticipate future challenges.
• Promote and apply best practices during the entire development process, from the very early stages of technical analysis and design of solutions, to monitoring in production.

• Develop and implement our own automation framework.
• Look into specific techniques and research to determine if they could be used by our team.
• Participate in and propose team discussions.
• Perform code review.
• Detect and fix problems in production environments.
• Do technical analysis of existing code and perform refactors to improve code quality.
• Contribute to the best practices of development, reliability, and availability of our systems.

• Work experience in software development
• Fluent in Python.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Expertise in or knowledge of OOP, Selenium, Pip, Docker (container systems like Podman, LXD) and virtual environments.
• Proactive and a team player
• Great initiative and capacity to take on projects autonomously.
• Experience in testing (ideally BDD testing) is a plus.
• Knowledge of python packaging, modular programming, Git, Gitlab or Github is a plus.
